To keep your license current, the FAA requires a flight review with a Certified Flight Instructor – CFI every 24 months.
The FAA requirement for your Flight Review is to complete a minimum of 1-hr of ground instruction and 1-hr of flight instruction.
There is no pass or fail for this review, however, depending on your recent flight experience, more flight or ground training may be necessary.
You can prepare for a flight review by reviewing the aeronautical knowledge requirements in CFR § 61.56 and relevant regulations in part 91 of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
You will be asked to perform maneuvers and procedures that are necessary to demonstrate the safe exercise of the privileges of the pilot certificate held.
There are exemptions to the Flight Review. Earning additional ratings and certificates is one popular method.
This will include a minimum of 2 hours ground instruction and one hour flight instruction.
Additional instruction will be provided if required. This is an instructional opportunity, not a check ride.
I will tailor the flight to meet your individual flying needs.
I know your time is valuable and your schedule is hectic! Let's build your training around your schedule and location! I will come to your airport.
(Note: A FR may also be combined with an Instrument Proficiency Check if required.)
